Alas, the long-promised snowfall of DOOM has now started to descend over London and all my psychic pleas to the Met Office can do nothing to stop it. So while I'm waiting for Zachary Quinto to teleport over and keep me warm (and I fear it's going to be a long wait), here's a meme I've seen doing the rounds:

So I've been thinking about Big Bangs (specifically the spn_j2_bigbang  which I am SO doing this year. I swear.) and I was thinking that I've never seen an Original Fiction big bang. Has anyone? If you have, let me know, send me a link or something...

Now, before you say "But isn't that NaNoWriMo?", I want to jump in and exclaim, "No!" because what I'm thinking is not like NaNoWriMo.

I'm considering starting an original fiction big bang.  No fanfiction, no RPF, nothing like that. Just novel-type fiction.  I know there's NaNoWriMo, but I'm thinking about a place that encourages you to write something (and finish it ofc), have a beta, have art made for it and post it for comments. 

I don't know about you lot, but I have a lot of things I've written that I would give my right-arm for art and comment on.  So that's the idea.

Anyone got any opinion on this? Would anyone want to join if I did make it? I know the community itself would require a certain level of trust (because of plagerism) but, I'm really into this idea.

So... comments... opinions... questions?

Supposing I do do this... Would anyone have any sort of idea of the following?

a) Where would I advertise it? My journal, obviously, but apart from that? Anyone know any writing communities or fanfic communities that might accept an advert? Maybe some would affiliate?
b) Suggestions on dates for writing, art, posting etc?
c) Anything you think should be different than 'normal' big bangs?
d) I know I'm nutty. You don't need to remind me...
